Grocery stores today (and the manufacturers that partner with them) have a huge opportunity to enhance their relationships with their shoppers beyond what is being communicated on their websites. Modern moms are looking to grocery stores to aid in food-planning and preparation for their families, including in-store cooking and meal planning programs. A recently released report from market research firm Packaged Facts® entitled “Moms as Food Shoppers: Grocery Store and Supercenter Patterns and Trends” found that moms are 33 percent more likely than other food shoppers on average to choose grocery stores that offer cooking classes or cooking videos. Additionally, they are 23 percent more likely to pick stores that provide meal planning and recipe information.
So help them out with a little inspiration!
