First the Super Bowl and now March Madness. Vine appears to be a new favorite tool among advertisers looking to make an impact during unpredictable and heavily watched sporting events. This tool has a no fuss, informal appearance/reputation that lets advertisers quickly respond to events and take a bit of risk with relatively little investment.
Allstate (with the help of their Mayhem spokesperson) has been using Vine during March Madness to ‘celebrate’ upsets and broken brackets. Beyond entertainment, Vine is also being used as a shopping aid, offering advice and tips that influence shopping activity.
Vine is proving to have many uses. What we will see happen during the Final Four or this MLB season?
