Brick and mortar stores often have an edge on eRetailers when it comes to offering shoppers instant gratification; but maybe not anymore.
Amazon recently filed a patent for a new delivery system called anticipatory shipping,” that essentially pre-ships things it thinks you will buy based on your shopper history—the result, you get something you bought online in a matter of hours vs. days.
Digital instant gratification could be on it’s way—will it make people click the buy button more often?
